Maximilien Robespierre is a fictional character in the Lady Oscar series, who is based on the Historical figure of the same name. He had a great influence in the French Revolution, later leading the Terror.
Robespierre (along with Saint Just) is portrayed at first in his younger and idealistic years, as a lawyer who was starting to become famous as an opposer to the noblesse. Gradually, however, he becomes closer to his usual portrayal in media as an embittered leader whose own violence brings him to his downfall.
