Mayo Senior Hurling Championship
The Breaffy House Hotel & Spa Mayo Senior Football Club Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association club competition between the top senior Mayo Clubs. The winners of the Mayo Championship winners qualify to represent their county in the Connacht Senior Club Football Championship and in turn, go on to the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. The inaugral winners of the Mayo Championship were Castlebar Mitchels who won in 1888. The most successful team to date are Ballina Stephenites who have won on 34 occasions. The 2006 champions of Mayo football are Crossmolina who defeated Ballaghaderreen by a scoreline of 1-13 to 2-07.
