I feel this page could really do with a diagram of some sort...
If the arachnoid and pia mater are called the leptomeninges, is there a comparable word used to describe the dura mater? Thanks!
- I believe pachymeninges (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Pachymeninx); however, pach·y·men·in·gi·tis (pk-mnn-jts), is also called perimeningitis (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/pachymeningitis).
