MERA Networks is a Russian offshore software development service provider focused on IT and telecom equipment vendors. MERA is headquartered in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, and has a customer relations management office in Toronto, Canada. - 1989 : founded in Nizhny Novgorod as a cooperative specialized in antenna measurement.
- 1993 : started outsourcing software services for international market (first contract with Nortel)
- 1998 : established corporate training center for employees’ professional development
- 2000 : opened customer relations management office in Toronto, Canada
- 2002 : got ISO 9001:2000 certification
- 2002 : the number of programmers increased up to 200
- 2004 : Nizhny Novgorod Informational Technologies Institute (NIIT) evolved from MERA Networks’ training center into independent organization [3]
