Michael Allinson

Michael Allinson (born 30 December 1920, in London) is an English film actor who has also performed on Broadway. He recently appeared as "Sir David" in Syriana. On Broadway, he took over the role of Professor Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady during the 1960 season opposite Pamela Charles as Eliza Dolittle, having toured as standby for Rex Harrison. On Broadway he also created the role of Warnie in the original production Shadowlands, also starring Nigel Hawthorne and Jane Alexander. He is President Emeritus of The Players, installed after the exit of Lynn Redgrave. His wife was the late Judy Allinson.
