Michael Karoli

Michael Karoli (April 29, 1948 – November 17, 2001) was a guitarist, violinist and founding member of the German krautrock band Can.
He died in 2001 after a long battle with cancer, aged 53. At the Echo Awards ceremony in 2003, Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist and solo artist John Frusciante paid tribute to Karoli[1].
