Way's ethnic heritage, star sign, history of physical ailments and injuries, his romantic involvements, and essentially anything else I delete on a regular basis is irrelevant in terms of this encyclopedia. When being interviewed during Warped Tour 2005, the band was asked about the things they're commonly asked to autograph, and Mikey stated that he's commonly asked to sign inhalers. Then he says, "I'm not actually asthmatic, but I'll sign 'em. You bring 'em!"

Mikey Way has had a few injuries in the past like: 

Liver Damage; Like his brother Gerard Way, Three Broken Toes; For some reason "Epic Battle With Brick Wall?", Nearsightedness, Multiple Upper Respiratory Infections

I, as a great fan, personally think My Chemical Romance is an emo band, however the article says otherwise. MTV calls it "alternative pop/rock and punk-pop", but I am sure this is a perspective-associated issue. Should we then remove the genre description before the band's name instead of calling it something many people obviously will disagree with? they don't perfer to be called "emo", the label however means "Emotional" in which case does kind of fit... but, since this is his biography, we should go by another label they perfer. --24.222.102.218 16:26, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

i don't think they should be put as pop in any way. i mean yes pop does mean popular i don't think that they are the kind of bubble-gum people that most of the time fall under pop.

I don't think MCR are an emo band, or pop-rock, punk-pop band, i personally think they don't really have a genre, as their songs change all the time, yes, i admit some songs are emo, but some songa are also rock, or punk-pop.

In the list of gay, lesbian, or bisexual people/U-Z, it states that Mikey is bisexual and Gerard is also listed. I don't know if it's true or not, could someone please source it?Redspark09 20:01, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

I think it fits, because in the introduction it states what he is best known for, and in the Biography it explains how he and Gerard grew up. I reworded it so that it doesn't sound so redundant, but if you think it's still unfitting, let me know.--Jude 06:31, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Now I know Manic Depression is Bipolar Disorder, but which should we call it in the article? The only sources I can find for this are fansites anyways. Fancruft and rummors need to be removed from the article. Darthgriz⁹⁸ 03:27, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Actually, I'm pretty sure I've read articles where Mikey states himself that he was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, so I'll look for the article. I think it was in the more recent articles, which could be why there was problems before. --Yunaresuka 01:39, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Alright, I honestly have no idea how to go about this, but in the Jan 27, 2007 edition of NME, they state that Mikey left the Paramour Mansion due to bipolar disorder. If you got the limited edition booklet for the Black Parade, Gerard talks about someone being affected by mental illness and has a very bad depression. This person needs to leave the Paramour Mansion and the band is in a disarray state for quite sometime at the house; later this person rejoined the band just in time for "Famous Last Words". There are hints that this is Mikey (Gerard talks about himself, Ray and Frank, and what they were doing during that time; I think he mentioned Bob as well). Gerard also said that sometimes you need to be more than a friend, a bandmate and a brother..This is a clue that it is Mikey. It says in the article Mikey and Alicia have split up, and this is sourced to i'mnotok.net - however this information is not on INO, and I've not heard anything about it, Alicia's buzznet and stuff still seem to say that they're engaged... I don't know for certain so I don't want to change anything just now.

Also someone mentioned that INO is their official fansite... I can't see anything on the site about it being endorsed by the band - the only fansite I know of that's endorsed is The Immortality Project (.com)

Yeah I just looked at the article and there have been a ton of changes to his "personal life" section lately. I cleaned it up put the source back where it belongs. The source was originally meant for his Lasik info. It's mainly just vandalism that we've been receiving. Mikey and Alicia aren't broken up at all.--JUDE ^talk 23:22, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

They actually got married on March 8, I believe. CherriexxGarcia On the NME Issue of April 2007 (the magazine article reports on the dates the boys were touring in Europe.), the article explains that Mikey got married to Alicia backstage in Vegas a few days ago and that his brother Gerard was his best man. {Here's the link http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/5954/92712541cq2.jpg}

um, i would like to say this, because in the page it says he plays a highway one percission bass. he doesnt. i know that he used to. like Bullets age. but now on the black parade im pretty sure he has a selection of 4-5 basses. all Fender i Might Add.
