It's been a while since I read War & Peace, but isn't this Speransky a friend of Prince Andrew in Tolstoy's War & Peace? I think that should be mentioned in the article if it is true. Tolstoy provides a lot of analysis on Speransky's reforms and personality, if I remember correctly. (Bjorn Tipling 00:42, 28 March 2006 (UTC))
