Hello there! My name is Michael and I am owned by Wikipedia. They often take over my life and I spent hours sitting and editing pages, in an attempt to feel worth something.

My name is Michael Thompson (AKA Mike, Mikay, MikeT), I'm 16, and I'm from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, United Kingdom. I'm in Year 11 at school and I absolutely love it.

My hobbies include web design, graphics and coding, as well as chatting on IM programmes, g-mail and surfing message boards. I also love school, reading and films. I'm not a great movie buff but I do know a bit about the wonderful world of Hollywood. My music taste is extremely varied. I love pop music as well as soft metal, rock and classical. I really am an all-rounder. My favourite bands/groups include S Club, McFly, Alkaline Trio, Katie Melua, The Rocket Summer, Good Charlotte and PANIC! at the disco. I'm also a bit of a Television buff. I love watching comedies such as Friends and Joey. As well as documentaries and reality shows. I know my TV. Very well.

I strongly believe in Environmentalism. I believe that people should do their bit to help the environment. I think these people who complain about petrol prices are hilarious. I always think, "well if you don't want to pay it, stop using it!" I try my best to conserve water, energy, etc. I'd much rather get the bus then get a lift in a car.. Actually, I'd rather walk. I like to walk, especially on my own. That's because I'm a loner. Sure, I have my friends, but I also like to be by myself. I like to think of myself as independent. Independence is a cool thing to have.

I'm quite easily influenced. If someone says something, I try my best not to be swayed by it. I like to have my own opinions, and people can change them quite easily. It's scary. I try to resist it.

I'm a member of Youth SVP and a dedicated follower of Fair Trade, and I recently attended by first Camp Vincent. [1] I thought it was an amazing experience and I look forward to it being an annual thing.
