Mitch Kern

Mitch Kern (b. 1965) is an American artist living in Canada whose work explores the relationship between the individual and society.
Kern primarily uses portrait photography to critique culture. Born in New York City, Kern moved to Los Angeles as a teenager.[1] He earned an MFA in photography from the Pennsylvania State University. Kern exhibits internationally and heads the photography department at the Alberta College of Art and Design.
