The name "Monica" possibly means "advisor" from the Latin moneo, but it is most likely of unknown North African or Phoenician origin, also possibly originates from Greek.
Possibly (Greek) "solitary" or (Latin) "to advise; nun." Saint Monica, the mother of Saint Augustine, prayed for her son and saved him from self-destruction. As a result, Saint Augustine became one of the greatest saints in history.
Monica has many variant forms, including: Mona, Monca, Monicka, Monika, Monike, Moniqua, Monique and Monnica.
