It is intended that this article be developed - although at the moment it is essentially a stub, it is at least a little more substantial in terms of links to further sources. I feel it is particularly important to have some biographical entries for women magicians as they are currently an overlooked category. There are a significant number of entries on Wikipedia for male magicians, many are no more substantial than this entry for Morgan. Morgan is one of perhaps two or three women currently working professionally in the escapology sub-field. She is an established professional performer who has been working for some years.

How does this person meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines? Are there are verifiable references? IrishGuy ^talk 18:27, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

There are articles on her in some of the various journals of the magic world. I'll try to find references. John Bundy and Morgan were the subject of a 6-page cover article in Magic Magazine in October 2005.

Also, if this article is deleted on the grounds given then it calls into question the validy of a large number of other articles that comprise Wikipedia's current body of material on magicians.

I've removed the db tag for now. Circusandmagicfan, as a note of explanation, one of the reasons that this kind of article gets hit so rapidly with notability concerns, is that Wikipedia has been a real magnet for non-notable street performers to come in and try to promote themselves. Some editors, such as Irishguy and myself, spend a lot of time dealing with spam, effectively playing "Whack-a-Mole" with these bios, often doing our best to get them deleted on the spot. Along the way, we may accidentally pounce on a genuinely notable subject, and for that I do apologize, but in most cases the immediate deletions are well-deserved, trust me.  :) As for other articles around Wikipedia with minimal sourcing, you're absolutely right that it's a problem. Feel free to tag such articles yourself, or bring them to our attention and we'll take a look.

As a suggestion, if you feel that you'd like to start a stub article, but haven't got very many references lined up yet, one recommended way to proceed is to "userfy" such articles. This means to make a draft page in your own userspace, like at User:Circusandmagicfan/Morgan the Escapist, and then you can take more time building it up, in preparation for moving it to main articlespace. Such articles aren't allowed to sit in userspace indefinitely (that's considered a Wikipedia faux pas), but there's definitely less time pressure during the building process.
