Motorola E770 mobile phone is also known as the E770v denoting a Vodafone network specific variant of this handset. It is a 3G phone in that it operates primarily on the third generation phone network, however it will downscale to GPRS 2.5 and below if required.

- Some people have issues with the network specific feature which are not alterable such as the Vodafone Live hotkey
- There are limitations regarding sending and receiving files over Bluetooth between various devices - because the microchip is very limited, even though the memory cards are big.
- Some operator logos, videos and pictures are not removable
