Motta San Giovanni is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Calabria in the Italian region Calabria, located about 130 km southwest of Catanzaro and about 13 km southeast of Reggio Calabria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,430 and an area of 46.7 km2.[1]
The municipality of Motta San Giovanni contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Lazzaro, Valanidi, Cambareri, and Allai.
