My Cake is the 74th episode of the American sitcom Scrubs. It originally aired on October 12, 2004.

When Dan, J.D.'s brother, arrives bearing cake, J.D. immediately knows someone has died - his father. This episode is primarily concerned with the ways in which J.D.'s family and friends help him deal with his loss. This episode was dedicated to John Ritter, who played J.D. and Dan's father.

J.D. and Dan's father, Sam Dorian, was played by John Ritter in episode My Old Man. John Ritter died on September 11, 2003 from an aortic dissection caused by a previously undiagnosed congenital heart defect.
