"My Foolish Heart" is a popular song.
The music was written by Victor Young, the lyrics by Ned Washington. The song was published in 1949. Two recordings of the song were listed among the top 30 on the Billboard charts in 1950, that by Gordon Jenkins reaching #22 and the Billy Eckstine version reaching #28. Later recordings have been made of this standard by numerous artists, including Sadao Watanabe and Bill Evans. Most recently, My Foolish Heart has been covered by Kurt Elling, Jane Monheit, The Mavericks, Nina Ferro and The Idea of North.
The song also featured in The Body in the Library, an episode of Marple.
The song was introduced by Susan Hayward in the film of the same name.
