Neil Ashton (born 15 April 1985 in Liverpool) is an English footballer who currently plays for League Two club Shrewsbury Town. He typically plays as left-back, but occasionally acts as a midfielder. He wears the number 3 shirt for the club.
He began his career as a trainee with Tranmere Rovers, but made only one substitute appearance for the club before he joined Shrewsbury on loan in December 2004. In mid-2005 the loan was made permanent. He has now made more than 80 appearances for the club.
He is dating the current Miss Liverpool, Natalie Daly and they got engaged in the summer of 2006 in the Dominican Republic.
