The New Haven Warriors is an American semi-professional rugby league team based in New Haven, Connecticut, competing in the American National Rugby League (AMNRL).
[edit] History
The Warriors played in the Lincoln Conference of the AMNRL along with the New York Knights, Connecticut Wildcats, Northern Raiders, and the Boston Braves until the 2007 season. Starting in 2007 the AMNRL stopped using the conference system, favoring a total league format. So far, the Warriors have been unable to capture the AMNRL Championship, but they remain a competitive team. The team logo is based on the logo of the New Zealand Warriors, New Haven's official National Rugby League Team Partner, and the current New Haven roster includes several native New Zealanders.
