Route 79 is a state highway in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It runs from an intersection with U.S. Route 9 in Freehold Township to an intersection with Route 34 in Matawan. It was a section of U.S. 9 before that highway was rerouted.
[edit] History
Before the 1953 renumbering, Route 79 was Route 4A, a spur of Route 4.
