The commune includes two villages:
- Nicolae Bălcescu (historical names: Danachioi, Turkish: Danaköy; Carol I) - named after the Romanian historian and revolutionary Nicolae Bălcescu
- Dorobanţu (historical name: Turkish: Bilar'ar)
