Nobuo Sato

Nobuo Sato (佐藤信夫) is a former Japanese figure skater who is now a coach. Along with Machiko Yamada, he is one of the more successful coaches in Japan.. He is a ten-time national champion and competed at the 1960 and 1964 Winter Olympic Games. His best finish at the World Championships was 4th in 1965.[citation needed] He is married to Kumiko Okawa. Their daughter is Yuka Sato, the 1994 World Champion.[citation needed] His current students include three time world medalist Fumie Suguri, 2006 Grand Prix Final bronze medalist Yukari Nakano and World Junior Champion Takahiko Kozuka. His former students include his daughther and Miki Ando, a two-time Japanese Champion.[citation needed]
