—№tǒŖïøŭş4lĭfė ♫♪, also known as 68.188.175.15, has been a Wikipedian since March 20, 2005 and continues to make daily edits.
I have recently turned my attention to cleaning-up articles within Wikipedia. I particularly enjoy going through the new pages and speedy-deleting any article that meets the criteria. I especially attack vanity pages, such as bands, biographies, corporations, websites, and organizations. If someone protests the speedy-delete tag that I place on their article, I will explain why it deserves the speedy-delete tag. If the article is questionable, then I'd propose its deletion, and if need be, send it to AfD for a prompt deletion consenses and then, if needed, recreation protection.
Upon tagging an article for speedy-deletion, I'd monitor the article to ensure that the tag is not removed by anyone other than an administrator. Within about a half-hour time period of continually refreshing the new pages list, I would have probably tagged over 30 different articles for speedy-deletion. If the article does not warrant a speedy-delete, and I feel that the only reason the article is not good is due to the fact that it was just created, I would tag the article as a stub and with the proper clean-up tag. If the article has not been expanded or improved within an alloted time, it will be nominated for deletion, whether it be speedy, proposed, or sent to AfD for a consenses.
Vanity articles are ruining Wikipedia, and it makes everyone think that Wikipedia is a dumping ground for every band, every person with a blog, every website, and any business trying to plug their name and cause on the Internet. I am a deletionist through and through, and I believe Wikipedia should enforce and strengthen qualifications for prospective articles. I usually get feedback from every person whose article I have caused to be deleted, and I generally explain to them exactly what is stated in the previous paragraphs.

[edit] Short biography
Born on October 19, 1983, I adopted the username Notorious4life for many aspects of the Internet to distinguish myself from other Richards without having to resort to using a surname. With great erudition and complexity in my everyday linguistic dexterity, I am often misunderstood and frowned upon by those vacuous member of our society that may be subjected to conversating with me. Residing in Detroit Beach, Michigan, I graduated from high school in 2001 and am currently a senior undergraduate at Eastern Michigan University. I am majoring in secondary education in the fields of geography and history. I utilizes my vast knowledge in an attempt to educate those who are not as proficient in those subjects. Although I possess great wisdom in many other subjects of everyday life, I rarely claims to have all the answers or any useful information to bestow on others. I plan to use my education to teach others in the form of a secondary school teacher. My impeccable sense of humor and seemingly childish mentality is overshadowed by my authoritarian approach to discipline and order. For the past four years, I have been working on my autobiography, detailing every aspect of my life. Since I do not plan on dying anytime soon, there is no hurry for completion.

[edit] Mortal Kombat
My major contributions takes place within the Mortal Kombat articles. I have created or completely revamped articles for the characters Belokk, Hornbuckle (because of this article's unimportance, I combined this article with Blaze), Kai, Meat, Nimbus Terrafaux, and Fujin. In each of those detailed articles, I made it a point to add a picture. In addition to the characters already mentioned, I also added pictures and editings for other existing Mortal Kombat character articles including Ashrah, Blaze, Chameleon, Ermac, Hsu Hao, Jarek, Jax, Khameleon, Li Mei, Noob Saibot, Rain, and Reptile. I have made improvements in almost every single article for Mortal Kombat, I have also taken part in creating a general lay-out design for all Mortal Kombat articles for consistency and professionalism. I took part in the Mortal Kombat Wikiproject, but I have since devoted my time to other Wikipedic endevours.
My greatest contribution to date for Mortal Kombat was the creation of the detailed article for Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, which was released in September 2005. The game had been announced to come out over nine months before its release date, yet nobody else created the article, and I took great pride in being the article's creator. I has also expanded and revamped the already created article for Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. When I first found out about the game, I felt to just leave it to someone else to create the article. Someone did, and it was a horrible article with a few sentences. I have also constructed the Mortal Kombat character box to provide a general layout for all character pages.
[edit] Hometown articles
I also created the minor article for Sandy Creek, which is a small stream located near my house. It was my first article created, so my Wikipedic knowledge was not very good. It was edited by other users, and I no longer watch the page. I have also made several edits to the articles concerning the areas where I live. I added links connecting Monroe County to its various highways and other features.
I created the Monroe County Community College article since one did not exist, and I feel that the institution has enough noteriety to deserve its own article. I also created the article for Sterling State Park, and I wish to expand upon Fermi, Battle of Frenchtown (War of 1812), and the main Monroe, Michigan article.
[edit] Voter
I also spend some time on Wikipedia:Votes for deletion voting on certain articles for their deletion. I normally do not vote on an article unless I find it interesting, or if the article is so ridiculous that I have to say something. None of my created articles have ever been nominated for deletion, and they most likely will not. I tend to normally vote in favor of deletion for articles and usually have something to say. Some of my deletion comments include:
- Ashley Burns, who died in a cheerleading accident - "Delete. Her name is already mentioned in the main cheerleading article. The contents of her article should just fully be displayed in the main article. Although her death may have been tragic, I don't think she is notable enough to warrant her own article. (Notorious4life 02:19, 20 August 2005 (UTC))." I just did not think there was a point in her having her own article when everything said on her own article was said in another more important article.
- North Olmsted High School, an unheard of high school in the suburbs of Cleveland - "Delete. This is not a notable high school, and the only people who would look this up are the people that live in the area and went to the school. Their only claim to fame is that they won a soccer championship and was attended by a semi-notable historian. My high school was visited by a president and won dozens of state titles, but that doesn't mean it deserves an article, because nobody cares about a little ol' school in the suburbs of a big city. If at all, it should just be merged with North Olmsted, Ohio. There's not enough room on Wikipedia to mention every school that has had a chess club and a no-name principal. (Notorious4life 04:07, 19 August 2005 (UTC))."
- A further comments to another comment was, "So you're saying that all schools are important and deserve articles. Nobody's going to be writing a paper about schools in metro Cleveland, where this information would be needed. The school has no importance, like many schools, and the article is useless. Should I make an article about my preschool, because our restroom had only one toilet and many kids, or how we couldn't go outside for our picnic because it was raining... no. It's pointless information, and nobody cares. The line has to be drawn somewhere. (Notorious4life 06:18, 20 August 2005 (UTC))."
- One member argued saying, "We keep railway stations. We keep bridges. We keep highways. We keep radio masts. We keep minutiae concerning fictional characters in forgettable science fiction and fantasy literature that no more than an utterly minisclue proportion of people are ever likely to be interested in. We do these things because we are building the biggest and most comprehensive encyclopedia in history. Thus it is logical that we keep schools." His argument stated basically that all school are important, and the fact that other man-made institutions and landmarks are mentioned, therefore, so should all schools. He completely missed the point. The mentioned railway stations, bridges, highways, and radio masts are important to a degree, and North Olmsted High School is as unimportant as a school can get. High schools should only be mentioned if they have some form of noteriety, like Columbine. However, some people feel the need to mention their high school even though it has no importance even within its own right. The central argument surrounding North Olmsted High School's unimportance is that there main claim to fame is having a "Quiz Bowl, a chess club, and a school literary magazine." The article is poorly written and offers no useful information. That article does not need to be in an encyclopedia, even if it is Wikipedia.
- Babydramon, a rumored Digimon in a poor article - "Delete or Needs Improvement. I've done a lot of work creating articles for rumored characters, and to make such an article work, it needs to be longer than a few sentences and backed by reasons why this character was rumored to appear while never actually appearing. For example, my articles on rumored Mortal Kombat characters Nimbus Terrafaux and Belokk contain real facts and reasons, rather than speculation. I'm not a fan of Digimon, yet I'm not going to say anything about fancruft. I just don't think the article itself is encyclopedically noteworthy unless it is expanded, merged, and/or improved. (Notorious4life 06:49, 18 August 2005 (UTC))." He feels somewhat bad for his deletion vote, because he was in the same boat when the article he made changes to, Hornbuckle, was deleted because of its unimportance. The Babydramon article was only two sentences and offered no real information.
- Hawaii Roster, "Delete. This is a list of non-notable wrestlers from a non-notable, independent wrestling federation. It was moved to this page from Hawaii Championship Wrestling Roster to "keep from getting deleted" as the creator of the article stated in the history section of this page— after a speedy deletion tag was repeatedly removed by the creator. The editor of the article has failed to assert its importance, even after being warned that the article would be deleted. (Я не имею—никакой жизни
16:29, 16 April 2006 (UTC))" Despite the author's excessive crying, his article was promptly deleted. He obviously has no knowledge on the criteria for articles in Wikipedia.
[edit] Editor
Because of my direct nomination, 10 out of 11 articles have been deleted.
- Irata (nonexistent Mortal Kombat character)
- Shawn (nonexistent Mortal Kombat character)
- Monster (nonexistent Mortal Kombat character; although a different character exists with the same fan-given name)
- Mirror (nonexistent Mortal Kombat character)
- Watchdog (nonexistent Mortal Kombat character)
- Hawaii Roster, (see above) a crappy wrestling federation vanity page. It continues to be humorously and consistently recreated under different names.
- WHA Super Junior League, I even offered help to the creator of the article to prevent the article from being deleted. However, the creator didn't seem to care about the article.
- LudumDare, a non-notable website that hold an insignificant contest every two years— complete crap-vanity plugging article. The AfD received a very low number of votes, but the article was deleted despite a 1-2 favor of keep.
- Vodka stinger with a whiskey back, referenced only once on an episode of Family Guy; didn't deserve its own article.
- Chinese Pig, a non-notable Taiwanese slang term that was presented in a multilingual article. The discussion was made very humorous by the article's creator, who resorted to sockpuppetry and illogical comparisons.
Nominated: no AfD consensus
- Times Square Church was up for deletion at my request, but it failed to be deleted even though the consensus was 5-3 in favor of deletion— therefore, only furthering my anger toward the unstructured deletion process.
These list do not include the countless articles nominated for speedy deletion. I generally seek out speedy deletions rather than going through the AfD hassle.
The Wikipedia deletion process seems to be in shambles, but that's probably because there are so many terrible articles out there that need deleted. I make many changes if I feel they are needed. Many minor errors I will change include spelling, grammar, links, picture layout and placement, categories, and clarification of misunderstandings. I do not mind when people competently edit over my work, but I do strongly disapprove when someone makes senseless edits, like converting units to non-standard measurements (i.e., changing completely to metric), rewording sentences that already make perfect sense, linking words that are already linked previously in the article, linking words that do not need to be linked, "dumbing down" articles, and italicizing and bolding when not needed.
Like many others, I strongly disapproves of vandalism to any article. The concept of vandalism makes a mockery of Wikipedia's standard for allowing anyone to edit. Anyone who makes any form of vandalism, in my opinion, should have their username and IP address banned forever from editing. He believes that anyone who wants to make an edit should be a registered user and logged-in while editing to prevent anonymous edits of vandalism.
[edit] Interests
- Reading - I have never read a fiction book in his life, as I sees no point in reading something that is not true. The imagination and knowledge within, I believe, should be resourceful enough to enhance one's life, creativeness, and well-being without the need of phony literature, such as Harry Potter. I am especially fond of atlases and encyclopedias. My required readings for college have led me to read nonfictional books concerning topics such as African anthropology, Asian culture, the Civil War, Russian history, Greek philosophy, communism, world geography, and biology.
- School - My favorite subject would be geography: political, physical, geological, historical, economical, and cultural. I have held an interest in geography since before the age of five. Amongst my other favorite courses are scientific courses such as biology, astronomy, zoology, geology, meteorology, and hydrology. Certain aspects about English are interesting to me such as grammar, writing, and linguistics, but I dislikes courses such as literature and Shakespeare. Despite having anarchistic and somewhat socialist beliefs, along with a severe hatred toward George W. Bush, I am still interested in the fuctions and history of the American government.
- Television - My favorite show used to be The Simpson's until recent poor quality seasons have slightly shifted his interests toward Family Guy and South Park. I am also quite fond of older cartoons such as the classical Goofy cartoons from the 1940–1950s, as well as newer cartoons like Recess, Rugrats, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, The Critic, and Garfield and Friends. My favorite non-cartoon shows include That '70s Show, Becker, Just Shoot Me, Frasier, Friends, Animal Precinct, and everything on The Weather Channel. I have never declared a favorite movie.
- Hobbies - One of my main hobbies is car customizing, usually only on my own car. Before my car became too old to put money into, I dressed it up with thousands of dollars worth of stereo and video equipment, custom rims, outer accesories (tint, tail lights, exhaust, paint), and interior color customizations. In addition to that, I enjoy watching television, playing Texas hold 'em (online or with friends), and video games. The only sports I actively participate in are bowling, in which his high game score is 266, volleyball, and tennis.
- Video Games - My favorite games of all time include Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Super Baseball 2020, Turok, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Paper Mario, Killer Instinct, Wario's Woods, Kirby's Avalanche, Super Mario World, Super Mario All-Stars, Kirby Super Star, and True Crimes: Streets of LA. As a video game player for over ten years now, I am often upset by video game companies that release poor quality sequels to excellent games. I was upset by Super Mario World 2, Mario Kart: Double Dash, and Mortal Kombat: Deception, claiming the games could have been a lot better. I also frowns upon corporations decisions to release games on only select counsels. As a true Nintendo fan, I dislike how the majority of good games come out only for the XBox or Playstation 2. With a total of hundreds of games, I own the following game system: Atari 2600, Super Nintendo, Playstation, Nintendo 64, GameCube.
[edit] Occupations
- Food Town Plus, now Kroger, (02/02/00–03/31/01) was my first job, and I strongly hated it. I only worked there because my dad had a prominent position within the company. After several suspensions and a low pay rate of $6.25 per hour, I left there shortly before graduating high school.
- McDonald's Restaurant (09/15/00–09/24/00) was the site for my shortest job ever. At $5.50 per hour, I was upset by having to work late one night, so I walked out and went back to work at Food Town.
- Hot 'n Now Hamburgers (04/10/01–12/31/02) and again from (03/01/04–01/30/05) was a job that I was ashamed to have worked for so long. Starting off as a crewmember, I quickly rose up to the rank of supervisor after a year at this local fast food restaurant. At $7.50 per hour, I grew tired of the monotonous job that I had to do for not enough money. Knowing of my impending resignation, the general manager seemingly forced a wrongful termination on me. I did not care and left. After 15 months of working elsewhere, I was contacted by the store's owner and new general manager to resume my management position for $7.60 per hour. I took the job, but was greatly upset by the conditions and operations of the restaurant, so I left there and went back to my other job.
- Tailor Welded Blanks (09/07/03–10/06/03) was my highest paying job, starting at $8.00 per hour, and this job could provide a future and adequate income as my only ever factory job. Unfortunately, after a month of working there, my schedule was changed. A clash with his school schedule forced me to quit.
- McDonald's Restaurant (01/02/03–06/22/05) was without a doubt the worst job I had ever had in my life. At a different restaurant from the one before, I worked for 2.5 years and topped out at $7.60 per hour with no future raises in site. I would work all shifts of the day, usually the opening shift of four in the morning until noon, and I was greatly unappreciated. One day following an argument with a low-level manager, the regional manager forced me to resign my position or face a prompt termination.
- Wendy's Restaurant (08/01/05–present) is the job that saved me from unemployment. At an embarrassing $5.90 per hour, I only works there for a flexible schedule and money while working around school. A continuous new job search has been taking place for quite some time.
