Nový Jičín (IPA: [ˈnovi: ˈjɪtʃi:n]; German: Neutitschein) is a city in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has cca 26,500 inhabitants. The city is situated on the spurs of the Carpathian Mountains.
