Abigail "Abby" Lincoln, codenamed Numbuh Five or Numbuh 5 is a fictional character in Codename: Kids Next Door. Voiced by Cree Summer. Her Spanish voice actor is Ariadna Rivas.

The oldest of Sector V (turning 12 in Operation: M.A.U.R.I.C.E.), her position is second-in-command and spy of Sector V, though Numbuh Two was originally intended to be second-in-command (he turned it down as it would mean he can't pilot his own machines). Before Numbuh 1 was leader, she was the leader of Sector V though never was again as she blames herself for not rescuing Numbuh 1 in time; resulting in him becoming bald (this was when she was leader)because the DFCFDTL.
Her favorite book is the 2x4 Technology Handbook. She also takes over when Numbuh 1 is not there and convinced kids to fight back at Jimmy McGarfield, who was trying to make them come to school on a snow day in Operation: S.N.O.W.I.N.G. She also, along with other kids, swung hockey pucks at the Bus-Walkers in the battle.

Numbuh Five often reprimands Numbuh Two for his terrible jokes and puns. Although as shown in a few episodes including C.H.O.C.O.L.A.T.E. she seems to show a kind of love for puns herself, but when none of the other KND are present.

Abby is frequently in situations similar to those faced by Indiana Jones. For example, in Operation: R.A.B.B.I.T., the first-grade class's pet rabbit was to be dipped in a chocolate volcano, similar to the pit of molten rock in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Abby's also chased by a huge ball of ice-cream in Operation: F.L.A.V.O.R., recalling the famous scene of Indy being chased by a ball-shaped boulder. Then, in Operation: J.E.W.E.L.S, she is seen in a Raiders of the Lost Ark and Last Crusade position. She is a fanatic lover of candy and an expert on candy-lore and mythology.

Numbuh Five wears a dark blue t-shirt dress with a white stripe on the sides and sleeves, and white Mary Jane shoes. She wears a red cap, which Cree gave to her on her second mission when Cree was still the leader of Sector V three years ago, which she considers precious, but occasionally throws as a weapon or tool (In Op. N.U.G.G.E.T.S., she was shown shown wearing a top hat, although it was the same shade of red). In the pilot No P in the OOL, she's shown wearing eyeglasses [1], and the official CN website describes her as such, however, she does not seem to be wearing them in any other episodes, even when her hat no longer conseals her face. She wears a blue backrobe as pajamas.
Numbuh 5 is shown wearing a dark blue tuxedo and red tie to anything formal.

She has a generally laidback personality and enjoys relaxing in her comfortable and stylish room on her off-time. She often speaks in the third person, using her codename to refer to herself (e.g. "Riiiight. Uh, Numbuh 5 will be in her room..." from Op C.A.B.L.E.-T.V.). Initially Numbuh 5 was listed as being born in France by official sources. For the longest time viewers had been somewhat perplexed by this as Numbuh 5's family and herself seem very distinctivelyAfrican American. Numbuh 5's father is a clear parody of Bill Cosby, speaking in a very similar voice, using similar speech patterns, wearing a sweater, and being referred to as a doctor. However, in a recent episode, C.H.O.C.O.L.A.T.E., Five and Cree's mother appears on screen for the first time and has a distinct and rather thick French accent, showing the two seem to be of mixed heritage and finally proving this long uncertain fact about Five.

Despite what her school grades might say, Numbuh Five is intelligent. The only reason she gets F-'s is that she tends to have problems getting her homework turned in, with either the Six-Gum Gang stealing it from her (Op R.O.B.B.E.R.S.), or her rival and next door neighbor, Valerie (in the form of a were-dog) eating it (Op H.O.U.N.D.). In the latter case, it has been seen that Valerie (and possibly her teacher) may be conspiring to prevent Abby from getting a deserved spot on the school's honor roll.

She loves candy and junk food, as shown in several episodes. She keeps a secret stash of candy that Stickybeard attempts to steal. Numbuh 5's other candy-related rival is Heinrich Von Marzipan.

Numbuh 5 has known Numbuh 1 longer than the rest of Sector V. She is the reason that Numbuh 1 is in the KND as she changed his scores so he could get in. The two are close, which may be due to the fact that Numbah 5 is the only other semi-serious member of the sector.
Throughout the series it is hinted that she and Numbuh One have an extensive history together in the KND. Numbuh Five takes personal responsibility for Numbuh One's baldness, supposedly because he was captured in a past mission and she decided that the mission held greater precedent than his rescue. Ever since then, she has held a staunch no-man-left-behind policy. She and Numbuh One are generally regarded as two of the best currently active members of the KND.

Numbuh 2 is the KND member who Numbuh 5 is frequently paired up with in episodes. The two are extremely different in nature. Numbuh 2 also has a tendency to come up with ridiculous, stupid jokes, which Numbuh 5 regularly criticize him on. Despite this, the Numbuh Two/Numbuh Five pairing has become one of the larger ships in fandom. They were dates in Operation: D.A.T.E.

She has only been paired up with Numbuh 3 in Operation: H.O.M.E., and seems to have more patience with her and frequently tries to calm her down.

Occasionally teasing him about liking Numbuh 3 and other things, not much of their relationship is shown.

She has an older sister, Cree, who is a teenager (thus a major villain) and works for Father and the Delightful Children. In Op M.A.U.R.I.C.E., it is revealed that Numbuh 5's hat was given to her by Cree before she betrayed the Kids Next Door. This episode also spotlighted Numbuh 5's fear of following the same fate and better showed Cree's reasons for why she became what she did. Cree calls Numbuh 5 "Crabigail".
It is unknown how long Cree and Numbuh 5 have had a rivalry and have been arch enemies/nemeses but in Op V.I.R.U.S. Numbuh 5 actually cured Cree of a zit on her prom night. This was a sisterly moment. Cree later said to Maurice that the Kids Next Door weren’t so bad. Cree and Numbuh 5’s parents think they're best friends due to them always acting goody-goody around them.

Numbuh 5 is also revealed as having something of a brother/crush relationship with former Kids Next Door operative Maurice, who now is involved in a top secret branch of the Kids Next Door that's occupied by kid-friendly teens. Numbuh 5 as of now is one of the few KND members in the world who knows of this sector's existence and has been sworn to secrecy over it.

Heinrich Von Marzipan and Numbuh 5 are currently candy-hunting rivals. It is hinted, however, that this may not have always been the case. Heinrich has stated that he won't forgive her for a soon-to-be-explained incident in Guatemala involving "sacred caramels". Despite his grudge, Numbuh 5 does seem to care about him, such as when she visited him at the end of C.H.O.C.O.L.A.T.E., and when she saved him in L.I.C.O.R.I.C.E. Some fans speculate that there may have been some romance between the two before Guatemala but this has not been confirmed.

She and Stickybeard have been rivals since when they met in Operation: P.I.R.A.T.E. Stickybeard offered her to join him, but she refused. He once saved her along with the rest of Sector V in Operation: A.F.L.O.A.T.And she calls stickbeard stickybun.

She has an evil teenage sister, former Numbuh 11, Cree. Her father is a doctor at Memorial Hospital. Her father is an obvious parody of Bill Cosby. Her mother speaks with a french accent. Both her parents' faces remain unseen.
In Operation: D.I.A.P.E.R., it has been stated that Abby also has an older brother who has children of his own. This has yet to be focused on, however. It is possible he lives in France.
In Operation: W.H.I.T.E.-H.O.U.S.E., Abby had a son in the future named Leopold (a.k.a. Numbuh 5000). Fans have speculated over the identity of his father - two popular candidates are Maurice and Heinrich.
