OpenRTS is a multiplayer, real-time strategy game, inspired by Command & Conquer.
[edit] Description
OpenRTS is developed as an open source project, with the goal of creating a free and open source RTS game. The game is developed in Python using Pygame.
These are the features of the game, as planned:
- Create a real time strategy game, akin to the Command & Conquer series.
- OpenRTS is an open source project using the GNU General Public License.
- Emphasis on creating a reusable game-engine: scriptable in Python or similar, with customizable rulesets and tilesets. The game-engine should be flexible enough to allow different game-styles.
- Strong multiplayer to support an on-line community.
- Artificial Intelligence to support skirmish games.
