P. J. Joseph

P.J. Joseph is the head of the Kerala Congress , a political party based in Kerala, India. He is known for his clean image like the other well respected Keralite A.K. Antony. Currently his party is part of the Left Democratic Front (LDF), a union of parties leaning towards the left. He was first elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly in 1970. He has held ministerial positions in the government of Kerala on several occasions serving as Minister of Education, Public Works Department and Housing , Home affairs and Revenue.
Joseph a post-graduate and a farmer himself is also in the forefront of promoting agriculture using organic manure in the state . He organizes the annual "Karshikamela" or Agricultural festival in Thodupuzha. His hobbies include music
In the recent Kerala assembly elections, LDF was voted into power and Mr. Joseph got elected from the Thodupuzha assembly constituency for the seventh time. He had sworn in as the Minister for Public Work Department.
