[edit] Thanks...Mike Bailey
Thank you for the chance, PB.
Literally 3 minutes after creating the stub I was on trial in the wiki community! So, I am requesting you please delete the "Mike Bailey" page. I am requesting this despite the fact that my credentials are legit, defensible and my intimate knowledge of the major educational software companies would have been valuable inclusions to the wiki-verse. Also, I find talking about myself a waste of time anyway!
Calton's response was particularly vexing. I simply refuse to submit information under threat of deletion by crass and disrespectful representatives of Wikipedia (excluding yourself, of course, this description does not apply to you in the least).
This process was valuable as it forced me to examine my repulsion to the scrutiny of the admins. It made me realize that there is too much emphasis on testing and performance in education rather than learning via experimentation and exploration. I am thinking I may create an online educational software company, something that allows students to learn while experimenting rather than punishing them for not answering in time.
While my current wiki experience has been markedly ego centric, I assure you I am not an ego maniac. I have spent the majority of my career creating things that interested me, not marketing them or pumping them up to be more than what they are. Another lesson learned!
Again, thank you and I wish you well. Sincerely, Mike Bailey —The preceding unsigned comment was added by MBailey (talk • contribs).

Hi,
Thank you for butting in.
I had not finished the article when you stepped in, now some is lost. I know what I am talking about on these railway subjects, I lived watching the line and many of the others in my area.
Butting in before completion is pure rudeness. I doubt you know the subject matter and how unusual it is.

Dear Pilhet,
Please do not feel sorry for rejecting my article on wikipedia. Even I understand that unless the person or his works are of notable ones, they would not be included in wikipedia.
However i assure you the case would not remain same later on. I will be back in wiipedia that too with lot of recognition and even you would appreciate my contribution towards.
Thanks for your personalised message.

[edit] Re: Article about a musician not being "notable enough"
Brother,
We are trying our best to promote this artist. We, the team behind the name, concur that his contribution and his artistic statement is of an invaluable quality and artisitic importance. The fact the the artist remains unpublished as of yet, shouldn't be a factor for rejection. So, if the artist is picked up by a record label of any size and maybe sold a few CDs, then would it be ok or "notable" enough?. This sounds like the requirements to be aired on MTV or in the Grammy's.
The work and mission of a singer songwriter that's organized and commited enough to lead a life dedicated to his artistic statement of multiculturalism, social conscience, and Love should be definitely recognized by a information source such as yours. He is, after all, getting te recognition of every underground community he's touched across the US and South America, and we believe that he should be ignored based on the fact that he hasn't been projected by a conventional organization. The work of independent artists should be looked and considered with the same, if not with more, respect as the represented ones.

[edit] Flanagan article
Hi Justin, I added the article "Ben Flanagan" and you responded the band or person is not notable enough.
Respectfully, the artist and his band is on Scott Weiland's record label (Softdrive records) and just shot a musical video with acclaimed director Marcos Siega (blink 182, weezer, system of a down, etc.) The band has played three warped tours and toured with Velvet Revolver. there is also another member of said band on wikepedia. the band is in billboard magazine this month (picture included if you don't believe me.)
I feel there are entries for far less "notable" artists on wikipedia. I Hope you reconsider. sincerely, Chesterfieldking

[edit] Can you help?
How are you P.B.?
I noticed that you are interested in music. I have a problem, maybe you can help, or refer me to someone who can.
As we speak, an editor is trying to render unreadable (See: [1]), arguments I left at the "Audio mastering" talk page to dismiss his old proposed inclusion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Audio_mastering).
Here is my story:
It appears that an editor, calling himself Mike Sorensen, in March 2007 placed on the Wikipedia "Audio mastering" page, a section called "Artmastering", complete with a supporting external link (See: [2]).
This article titled "Artmastering" which is related to audio mastering, was previously deleted for lack of support (See: [3]).
Originally, the article was posted as an external link by user "Voy7" in August 2006 (See:[4])
Around the same time, 2 more external links, one citing the same "Artmastering" studio, were apparently added by someone, presumably the owner himself, Art Sayecki. This was done anonymously with IP address 66.214.253.155 located in Burbank, California (Check IP) and (See: [5]and [6]).
Let's analyze this further:
- 66.214.253.155 (See IP) (Presumably Art Sayecki of "Artmastering") and
- 66.214.253.51 (See IP) (An unknown user who also supported "Artmastering" and attacked those who didn't agree (See: [7] and [8])
Location: Burbank, California.
According to most system administrators, there is a 95% chance or certainty, that these 2 IP addresses belong to the same user. Is this just a coincidence? It gets better. He plays with Wikipedia, erasing negative comments against Art Sayecki (See: [9]) and tries to erase his tracks from the system (See: [10]). Who has the tools or the knowledge to do this?
The account Voy7 a/k/a "R.Watts" and the IP address with location in Burbank, were associated with accusations of sock puppetry (See:[11])
The "Artmastering" article and all external links were removed, but one link did remain at the "Audio mastering" page for almost 8 months (See: [12] [13]). Then, "Artmastering" was re-posted again by Mike Sorensen as indicated above in early March 2007 (See: [14]), only to be removed for the last time by a Sysop at Wikipedia (See: [15]).
All the aforesaid external links, direct to articles about "Artmastering", the owner Art Sayecki and his studio in Burbank, California.
By his own admission, the interviewer of these "Artmastering" articles, who identifies himself as Scott G, "The G-Man", owns G-Man Marketing (See: [16]).
G-Man Marketing is in the business of consulting on advertising, marketing, positioning (Presumably for web/page rank), branding and sonic branding.
The '"Artmastering" article, for the most part, is in the form of an interview with this mastering engineer, Art Sayecki, the creator of "Artmastering". It had a few brief quotations by well-known audio engineers agreeing with his views.
At the end of this page, there is a list of mastering labs that met "The G-Man's" criteria for professional quality work (See: Mastering Your Music).
This "Artmastering" article, as a reference link at the mastering page, presented a problem for some users. As strongly indicated on the Wikipedia talk page and by the editors that deleted the "Artmastering" page (See: [17]). Some editors considered it a deliberate act of company promotion for the Art Sayecki mastering lab and studio.
I personally thought, that the "Artmastering" article did not meet the criteria for inclusion, since after researching the volume of interviews conducted by Scott G, "The G-Man", I found out that there were many more interviews with Art Sayecki, but no other mastering engineer was ever been interviewed by him (At least not found on the web).
The interviews, that I did find about "Artmastering", were apparently published by low to mid level web sites of which Scott G, "The G-Man" is either a staff member or has an active affiliation (See: Click here).
In addition, Scott G, "The G-Man" is, by his own admission, Art Sayecki's client (See disclosure next to Sayecki's photo [18])
When I asked Mike Sorensen if he could provide more interviews, not by The G-Man, but by other known and reputable journalists, supporting Art Sayecki views on the subject of "Artmastering" (See [19]), he accused me of making a personal attack against him and Scott G, "The G-Man” (See: [20]).
He next accused me of being a "sock puppet account" of another user (See: [21]) and here is what this user said in early March, 2007: [22]).
This unknown user came in that day to apologize to Mike Sorensen for being rude to him in the past and to respectfully request that article not be included on the mastering page again. (See: [23])
Believe me, I am not attacking anyone. I am only making inquiries to establish that the mastering engineer and his studio, Art Sayecki, has proven notability and not placed on the page for pure financial gain.
If Mike Sorensen has never had work done at Art Sayecki's mastering studio, why is he sure that the work at this facility "is great"? (See: [24])
My concern is that some people could get mislead by representations made on an informational page, but in effect being used for advertisement and self-promotion.
My purpose in writing this is to bring this issue to a conclusion, so that Mike Sorensen's proposed inclusion gets adequate review, consideration, discussion and dismissal.
WE NEED A FINAL RESOLUTION (This dispute started in the middle of 2006).
The long discussions and disruptive behavior of some users (See: [25]), one in particular that goes under the name "Biggy P", have made other users angry (See [26]).
We need community and maybe Sysop intervention.
Apparently, "Biggy P" provides support, by ridiculing (See: [27]) or harassing users who don't agree with Mike Sorensen (See: [28] and [29]). He has done this supporting roll in the past (See: [30]).
He also makes accusations of "sock puppetry" to anyone who questions Mike Sorensen views (See: [31]).
Certainly, you will agree that such thuggery, should not have a place on a Wikipedia talk page.
That said, it is not acceptable to link an article to a Wikipedia page that constitutes a conflict of interest, not by its contributor, Mike Sorensen, but by the author of the interview, "The G-Man", which at the very least, appears to be a biased promotion of a mastering engineer's studio facility.
I sincerely hope that we can resolve this issues to the audio mastering page, so that we can all move on.
I greatly appreciate your time. Jrod2 20:40, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Dear P.B, thanks very much for your feedback and tips! I condensed the article to make it easier to read at (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Audio_mastering). Best wishes. Jrod2 12:49, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Dynamic IP Question
I came here through a comment on Leafyplants page. I was wondering, how would you tell if a traced IP is a dynamic IP? What if you think you found an IP at a workplace? THank you, --Umalee 17:18, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
