[edit] Headline text
There are been another parody on MTV itself hosted by Xzibit called, "Pimp my Bride". There is a clip of the episode on www.thatvideosite.com.
Anybody know if the anyone has sold their pimped cars and what they went for?
- I heard, the Beetle was sold on ebay for $5k, I don't think the rest met their reserve price, so therefore it was left unsold Willirennen 16.21 1 mar 2006 (utc)
[edit] The Swan
Over here in Ireland we got the program The Swan a little later than Pimp my Ride, so the Swan became commonly known as "Pimp my Bitch." lol
[edit] Madonna video
Since I do not have access to MTV, I cannot write this on the main page, I heard Madonna had her Ford Transit pimped out by Carisma Automotive, the people who did the cars from the UK show for her new video with heavy reference to the show. Is that worth an inclusion? Willirennen 16.27 1 mar 2006 (utc)
[edit] Boondocks episode
Pimp My Ride was featured along with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on an episode of The Boondocks.
In this episode, Riley cons the shows to improve the car and house respectively, disguising his granddad as a blind person who helps house homeless people. (The plan backfired in the end, when Granddad celebrated after SEEING the improvements to his pimped out ride.)

[edit] Seperate Articles (Pimp My Ride worldwide)
There should be seperate Wikipedia:What is an article? regarding all programs (Pimp My Fahrrad, Pimp My Whatever, and Pimp My Wheels). The infobox only includes the U.S. version of Pimp My Ride and focuses only on that show.
[edit] Shirt Grabbing
What is with the "shirt grabbing" at the end of each episode?. Does anyone know the significance?
Its like a aunt pinching cheek of a child combined with people who grap their lapel of a jacket or shirt to show off their clothes. More over it is like the aunt showing pride of approval for that child but a pimp turning out a Ho that he is proud of.
[edit] Xbox Game?
IGN, Gamespy, et. al. all have it listed, but nobody has anything more than a release date and publisher (Activision, obviously as a Viacom subsidiary), and even the publisher doesn't have any information on the game. Does anybody know where one could find something approximating a summary of it? Thanks. Bozaloshtsh 17:45, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Season 6
There has to be a release date of Pimp My Ride Season 6. Professional Gamer 16 October 2006
[edit] Can I remove the criticisms section?
The criticism section seems pretty irrelevant, it consists of one link to an article which doesn't actually discuss Pimp My Ride or anything to do with the programme:
http://arts.guardian.co.uk/news/story/0,,1864252,00.html
It's someone who objects to the casual use of the word "pimp", but that's where the article's connection with PMR stops. There's no evidence in the article that the author has ever even watched PMR, they don't even discuss it at all. It's about the word "pimp", not the TV programme that uses that word in its title.
[edit] An Interesting Idea
How about we can design the tables to place it in the vehicle's names, owners, conditions and special parts placed. Does that sound good? Professional Gamer 25 October 2006
[edit] "Rumors About Pimp My Ride"
of course the entire thing is scripted! I mean just looking at it you can tell all the one liners are given to the mechanics and xzibit by the director. The only section that is not scripted is the part where the person 1st sees their new ride. But even if it wasn't scripted, could you imagine the logistics nightmare of trying to have everyone's lines, actions, and reactions perfectly fit the show format? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.99.96.154 (talk) 11:47, 23 January 2007 (UTC).
- Heck I've stood there watching 2 shows being filmed. Car owner says how a dent was made... crew writer tells her what would sound better on camera. Car owners house?...nope... dozens of miles from the car owners house. Surprised that Xzibit comes to the door??? Yeah right, all scripted. I love the show but it would be too tough to do all this on the fly and have good tv. 72.129.87.69 09:57, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Copyrighted material ?
The following part of the article:
Much of the appeal of the show comes from the personalities involved. The WCC employees are an eclectic mix of outgoing personalities, such as:
- Owner Ryan (who was preceded by the good-natured manager Q),
- The appropriately named Big Dane,
- Electronics (and outrageous engineering) expert Mad Mike,
- Tough-looking interior and fabric maven Ish,
- The heavily pierced tire-specialist Alex, and
- Paint and body expert Buck.
