[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:VHS Super Collection.PNG

Thanks for uploading Image:VHS Super Collection.PNG. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:07, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Chun-Li

  • Please do not deliberately introduce incorrect information into articles. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Danny Lilithborne 06:49, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:DannyZuko.jpg listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:DannyZuko.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Arniep 13:08, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Sandy Olsson1.jpg listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:Sandy Olsson1.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. [edit] Depend question

A while back, you asked on Talk:Depend what year the Depend garments were introduced. I went to Kimberly-Clark's website and found that the year was 1980. I have added it to the article. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 21:44, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia Is Not A Forum

Look, the talk section is not a forum. So stop using it like one. I just wanted to let you know in case you don't know, since a lot of your entries in Talk Pages should be asked in a forum. The talk section is for discussing the article, not what it's about. Understand? If not, ask me or someone. I hope you understand, Thank you.--Suit-n-tieWhat Have I Done?! 04:41, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

You really don't stop...--Suit-n-tieWhat Have I Done?! 03:50, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Grease.jpg

That is my image you keep overwriting. Please stop it. Pick another name if you want to upload that image and put it somewhere else besides the Olivia Newton-John article -Nv8200p talk 01:09, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Grease

I have no clue. I was brought to that page by housekeeping tasks. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 04:04, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What is and is not allowed on Wikipedia

You have posted in several places (including your own talk page) that explicit material is not allowed on Wikipedia.

I would ask that you please read WP:NOT in its entirety and refrain from making statements that contradict Wikipedia's own rules on what it is and is not.

If you don't believe that explicit material is allowed on Wikipedia, I'll be happy to provide you with a list of entries that will probably come as quite a shock to you. PacificBoy 21:34, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Also, please remove your statement that video release posters aren't "allowed" because they're not as important as the general release. I'm not sure where you came up with these rules, but it certainly wasn't on Wikipedia. PacificBoy 21:41, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Uncle Buck

I don't understand what you mean. Are you a native English speaker? I'm not trying to be mean, but I don't follow you. The trivia piece mentioned nothing about being aired on television, or being the only movie where she was underage. If you feel this trivia is worthy of inclusion, please add it back, but be sure to include all necessary details or else it will not make much sense. Thanks for understanding. Wavy G 05:20, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kelly

I didn't have anything to do with any images on that page. All I did was remove the Irish-American category because I could not find a source for it Mad Jack 05:30, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Why?

Why would I do that? I know nothing about the show. Everyking 20:36, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

That sounds fine, but why would you want somebody who knows nothing about the show to write them? If you are informed about it, wouldn't you be a good person to do it? Everyking 21:04, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Producers

I'm sorry, I'm unsure of what exactly you want me to do or why you are asking me specifically to do it. The Filmaker 22:26, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Sandy Olsson2.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Sandy Olsson2.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Grease

Please don't ask me any more questions. If you need information to add to an article, please do the research and add it yourself. PacificBoy 15:37, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Page Moves

You know, it's easier to make new pages that contain "#REDIRECT [[Name of article you want it to redirect to]]" which is a lot easier than moving the pages.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 03:31, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] F-Zero contributions

Please check your edits for F-Zero X. Also, using the term "you" is not generally accepted and encyclopedic in video game articles - please reword and try adding references while at the same time keeping it a article and less of a player's guide. FullMetal Falcon 00:31, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Exactly where are you getting your information about F-Zero X ? Please add sources or your information has a higher rate of being contested as true or false by others. FullMetal Falcon 21:19, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:F-Zero SNES Mute City.PNG

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:F-Zero SNES Mute City.PNG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Thank you.

The same applies to the rest of your uploaded fair use images as well. Please review your upload log. --Slowking Man 12:35, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Removing "no fair use rationale"

Please don't remove tags that indicate images have no fair use rationales without actually adding a fair use rationale. Wikipedia's fair use policy requires that images uploaded under a claim of fair use have a detailed rationale justifying that claim for each use of the image in Wikipedia. --Slowking Man 14:04, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] How Manga is spelled.

漫画 and not in katakana. It's in the OED, granted with a wrong definition, but still in the OED (Oxford English Dictionary), look it up some time. --Hitsuji Kinno 04:15, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Moving pages

Please do not move articles or change their names, as you did to Sailor Senshi, without obtaining consensus. --Masamage 05:14, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Emma Watson

I have reverted this edit. In addition to forbidding character images to identify their actors, fair-use policy also requires that only a free image may be used to identify the subject of an article. In adding the promotional image, you seemingly missed this comment: <!-- DO NOT add fair-use images to identify living people, new policy requires free use. -->. We need to ask that you read and familiarize yourself with the policy before any more images are added. Thanks. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 05:14, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] VHS

I don't understand your question. Do you mean, how is VHS spelled in katakana? If so, they probably write it in romaji. --Masamage 00:17, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

According to other loanwords I've seen, V is bui, H is ecchi, and S is esu. Nobody would ever write it in katakana, though; Japanese people usually borrow Roman letters for this sort of thing, and VHS is wayyy shorter than ブイエッチエス. Kana would only ever be used to explain the pronunciation to Japanese who are learning English. --Masamage 18:39, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] User:Tregoweth

Pertaining to your comment on User talk:Tregoweth, I don't know what you have against him, but from what I can tell many of his reversions are to clean up after a single problematic user alone, MascotGuy (and his many sockpuppet accounts, see WP:LTA/MG). Regards, Tuxide 04:54, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Emma Watson PromoPhoto.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Emma Watson PromoPhoto.jpg. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 23:24, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please please please stop making so many discussions on Diddy Kong

Stop making so many discussions on Diddy Kong Racing DS. And when you do, please put them at the bottom, and not at the top or somewhere in the middle. Thank you for your time.--65.150.132.200 05:11, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Image:Tiny Kong.jpg

In response to your comment on User talk:Coconutfred73#Image: Tiny Kong.jpg, it looks like the actual image to me and not a cropped version, since he claims he got it from [1]. I would question why he tagged the image as {{money}}, however. Regards, Tuxide 05:37, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:The Powerpuff Girls Movie Film Poster.jpg)

However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

[edit] Descriptions of courses, etc in F-Zero X

Regarding what you said on Talk:F-Zero X for adding information about objects, plates etc, see its StrategyWiki. That's where to add it. FMF|contact 03:55, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] removing maintenance templates

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Tiny Kong. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Dancter 05:03, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Twisted Sister / Cover Up

You put in this article that the monster in "Cover Up" is beaten to his death, which is impossible. Reason: the monster couldn't have been killed because The Powerpuff Girls is a kid's show, and kids would be turned off if they saw this. Marcus2 23:57, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
