Progress (comic)

Progress is an annual comic book self published by New Zealand comic book artist and writer Jared Lane since 2001.
Each issue includes an installment of "Living with the Abyss" a science fiction comic set in Christchurch some time in the late 21st century, it is depicted as a dystopian city ruled by powerful corporations and dealing with the effects of rising sea levels. The story follows Nathan, a cleaner at Canterbury University, his girlfriend Jasmin Woo, their friend Chester and an android found in the university engineering deparment which claims to be Jasmin.
Each issue also includes an editorial ("Jeditorial") by the author and one or two other short comics, usually reprints of comics published in anthologys.
