Verbano-Cusio-Ossola (Italian: Provincia del Verbano Cusio Ossola) is the northernmost province in the Italian region of Piedmont. It was created in 1996 out of the Province of Novara. Its capital is the city of Verbania. It has an area of 2,255 km², and a total population of 159,040 (2001). There are 77 comuni in the province ([1]).
