[edit] Speedy deletion
Hey, I'd like to welcome you again to Wikipedia. I see that you have decided to help with tagging articles for deletion. That's good news, since we need help is this area, and I encourage you to keep it up. However, I would like to direct your attention to this item in the WP:CSD:
- An article about a real person that does not assert that person's importance or significance. If the assertion is disputed or controversial, it should be taken to VFD instead. For details, see Wikipedia:Deletion of vanity articles.
Unfortunately, this means that we sysops cannot speedy delete an article if there is a claim to notability. Even patently false claims are sent to VfD. Please keep this in mind, and happy tagging! --Ryan Delaney talk 13:39, 24 August 2005 (UTC)

We're in the process of deleting nosource images, so if you get this notice too late, and it really was your image to upload (or you can get it under a sufficently free license) please reupload it with the correct tagging. If an article and all its revisions are unquestionably copied from the website of a commercial content provider and there is no assertion of permission, ownership or fair use and none seems likely, and the article is less than 48 hours old, it may be speedily deleted. - Those cheapskates! They've only been giving me $2500, but then, I started in 2002. But it's extremely weird that they haven't updated any of their websites ([2], [3], and that brochure all say $2500). - I've just uploaded one of your Beaver Stadium pictures (after cropping out that guy's head) to Wikimedia Commons. They accept free license images (GFDL, PD, CC-BY-SA, etc.) and then make it possible for all the wikipedias to use them. - I'm not sure about the homecoming parade. It should probably be incorporated into another article, because probably every university in the country has a homecoming parade similar to the one at PSU. That is to say, there probably isn't very much that's special about it. However, it might make sense to put a mention of it in the main PSU article or in an article covering the relationship between University Park and State College or the like. We just need to proceed with a bit of caution—the people who hang out at WP:AFD wouldn't appreciate it if we created an article for every building on campus, or on every faculty member, or on every event that Penn State students participate in. But mentioning the homecoming parade or the USG elections or the Mifflin streak or whatever in a more general article would be fine. —Spangineer[es] (háblame) 22:15, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Hello. I noticed that you've used the "vote" symbol on AfD. Could I persuade you to not do that? While it often looks like a vote, it's not. Emphasising the binary/counting nature makes the discussion appear less important, when in fact it's the whole point. Thanks.

Thanks for uploading Image:KingOfPrussia.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
