From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The R29 was a New York City Subway car built in 1962–63. After overhaul, the R29 fleet ran on the 2, 5 and 6 routes before retirement in 2002. The R29 fleet was the first fleet to be set up in permanent "catholic" marriages. In all prior married pairs, mates could be freely swapped.
