Is it possible to have an internal link that directs to a specific target on another Wiki page? The reason I ask is because, for example, a character listing that has a red link because a standalone Wiki does not exist, could be part of a larger article encompassing several characters of the sort. Hence, linking to that target would help streamline internal links to a degree. RabidPanda V 00:40, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- I noticed that you posted this at Wikipedia talk:Contact us. First, if you read that page, it was not the proper place to ask this question. Second, it is possible to link to a specific section of an article, as follows:
- To link to the section "History" on the article about Wikipedia, you can type [[Wikipedia#History]]. If, then, you want the link to appear to readers to say the history of Wikipedia, you would add [[Wikipedia#History|the history of Wikipedia]], which results in this link: the history of Wikipedia. Not for one second did I ever take it as a personal attack. You wanted to get this right and you were (and still are, quite rightly) venting your dismay at the possibility Wikipedia style might require something so strange with regard to punctuation. I recently found out a high school teacher taught my sons to put punctuation outside the quotation marks the same way. I have no idea why she taught them that. She was teaching long before Wikipedia was around. Even though I understand the logic of saying, "The comma isn't part of the title," I don't get the principle behind contradicting every style guide (MLA, APA, whatever) I've ever had to follow. So, while I'll do things the Wikipedia way for now because it's their playground, I also support your interest in pursuing the issue on the larger scale. Doczilla 19:52, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
