In 2006 Rebecca turned down a leading role in a major Bollywood production as the role involved partial nudity. Nudity is something she has vowed on principal never to do. Before acting, Rebecca worked behind the camera in a production role for several Bollywood movies.

Some of Rebecca's talents include bellydancing and the ability to play the violin (but not at the same time). Rebecca enjoys participating in sports, boxing and running in particular. For previous voiceover work, Rebecca has learnt to speak in several accents including Liverpudlian, London, Texan, French and her native RP English. Rebecca is a keen supporter of many charities. Her main interest is helping underprivileged children in Africa.

On Live Roulette TV, Rebecca was asked "If she was marooned on a desert island, which three luxury items would she take with her?" Her response to the question was sunglasses, a good book, and chocolate.

In the Queen's birthday honours list for 2006, Rebecca's father, Muhammed Rashid Nasir, was awarded an MBE for services to social housing and to the community in Kensington and Chelsea, London.
