"Requirements for Lovers" is the 4th episode of the anime, Yu Yu Hakusho. The Japanese version is called "Hot Flames! Ties of the Beloved."
[edit] Synopsis
The episode starts off with Botan and Yusuke floating in the sky. Botan tells Yusuke that he should do some good deeds so he'll have a better chance at getting his life back but Yusuke responds by stating that he hates "do-gooders". He then insults Koenma and Botan quickly hushes him and tells them that one of Koenma's inspectors is probably watching how he's doing. At that moment, the inspector appears and tells Yusuke and Botan that her name is Sayaka. She tells them that she's going to investigate the relationship between Yusuke and Keiko. She asks Yusuke and Botan if Keiko even wants him back. Yusuke tells her that she always scolds him and tells her that Keiko probably doesn't want him back but Botan tells Sayaka that Yusuke's just embarrassed. Sayaka decides to investigate further and studies Keiko for the rest of the day stating that her scores as a good person are next to perfect and that the relationship between Keiko and Yusuke must be one-sided. Keiko is then asked out by a charming boy but states that she likes somebody else and leaves. Botan then taunts Yusuke about liking Keiko and Yusuke tells her to shutup. Keiko then heads to Yusuke's house to check on his body. She finds a note that Yusuke's mom left saying that she went somewhere and will be back later. Keiko finds Yusuke's body in the back of the house covered in trash. She gets rid of the trash and starts to kiss Yusuke but the Neighborhood Watch Committee stops by to make an announcement about fires in the area interrupting Keiko. Keiko then leaves saying that her mom wanted her to go shopping. After Keiko leaves, a man who is an arsonist sneaks into Yusuke's house and sets it on fire. Botan then leaves to get Kuwabara to save Yusuke's body.
While shopping, Keiko hears that there is a fire on 4th Avenue and realizes that that is where Yusuke lives. Botan finds Kuwabara and tries to get him to save Yusuke. Kuwabara sees the fire from Yusuke's house and heads that way. Keiko makes her way back to Yusuke's house and heads inside to save Yusuke. Keiko makes her way to Yusuke's body but is blocked from the door by the fire. Meanwhile, Kuwabara shows up and his friends tell him that Keiko's in the house. Botan tells Yusuke that there's nothing left she can do but Sayaka states that if Yusuke throws the Spirit Egg into the fire a guide will lead Keiko out of the house but it would erase Yusuke's chances of coming back to life. After some thinking, Yusuke throws the egg into the fire saving Keiko's life while sacrificing his own. Keiko then meets up with Kuwabara and head off. Botan tells Yusuke that he can't keep wandering around in the real world and that he has to go back to the Spirit World. Keiko and Kuwabara find Yusuke's mom and tell her what happened and Keiko tells Kuwabara about Yusuke coming back to life. Yusuke then tells Botan to take him to Heaven or Hell. All of a sudden, Koenma appears and tells Yusuke that he will give Yusuke a second chance to come back to life. Botan and Yusuke then celebrate thus ending the episode.
