Cynthia Jane Cranz (Born March 3, 1969 in Grapevine, Texas) is an actress best known for her voice work portrayals of Chi Chi, in all three of the Dragonball series, Botan, in Yu Yu Hakusho, Mitch, in Case Closed and most recently Mitzi, in Shin Chan. She also plays Fei Ku, in Negima and Hisae, in Kodacha.

A native of Texas, Cynthia graduated from Grapevine High School in 1987 and The University of Mississippi, in Oxford in 1991, where she studied acting, and received a degree in History. She moved back to Fort Worth, Texas, a city she dearly loves and still resides in, where she has performed in local theater, as well as been featured in numerous commercials, print ads, industrial videos, music videos, and independent films. She got her start in the entertainment industry working as a stand in and body double for Penelope Ann Miller, the lead actress in Disney's The Gun In Betty Lou's Handbag.

In 1999, her friend, Warren Nash urged her to go to an open call at FUNimation. She was cast as Chi Chi, in Dragon Ball Z, which was her break into the Anime voiceover scene. Recent Anime, TV and Movie credits include Full Metal Alchemist, as Paninya, Spiral, as Reiko, Fruits Basket, as Mii, Kiddy Grade, as Marianne, Lupin III, as Diana, and Desert Punk, as Dog Woman. She has also appeared in Gunslinger Girl, Galaxy Railways, Moon Phase, Samurai 7, Beck, Black Cat and Speed Grapher.

She can currently be seen on the sketch comedy show The Booby Jack Pack Show on Dallas Cable and will soon be heard again on the Cartoon Network as Mitzi in Shin Chan. Her other interests include cooking, gardening and a lifelong hobby of riding horses and competing in equestrian events. She is also working on Beet The Vandel Buster and B't X, as Arin and Gaku. One of her closest friends is Wendy Powell, whose many Anime credits include the unforgettable Envy on Fullmetal Alchemist and Fever Demon on Shin Chan. She also had a small role as Lillith Sahl on Trinity Blood.
