- Code letter:F Suspected of sockpuppet evasion of a ban by Jimbo Wales.
MyWikiBiz has requested that the community restore editing privileges to one of his acknowledged accounts User:Thekohser. The thread is at WP:CN#Unblock_of_Thekohser.3F. Suspected of attempting to manipulate his own ban discussion on the IP address.[1][2][3][4] Although this meets the threshold for blocking as obvious sockpuppetry, this particular user has persuaded mainstream journalists that Wikipedia treated him unfairly. See this for a heavily spun story that ran in the Associated Press on 24 January 2007. In case the user attempts to follow up with a similar story it would be good to have a checkuser result to formally confirm that the community handled his case appropriately. He is a professional public relations entrepreneur so I think it would be good for Wikipedia to cover all our bases. DurovaCharge! 03:59, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- BTW the checkusers may review my relevant correspondence with Brian Bergstein, who was the journalist who wrote January's AP story. Contact me privately if necessary. DurovaCharge! 04:10, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Clerk note: in the event that Durova isn't available when a checkuser wishes to decide on this check, I have also got a copy of the email correspondance Durova mentions. If needed, my copy will be forwarded. Cheers, Daniel Bryant 05:23, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- Additional edits by the IP to the block discussion.[5][6] Note that in the latter the IP refers to the sockmaster account in the first person. DurovaCharge! 05:44, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Clerk note: Best to refer this to Brad Patrick or the Foundation Office. It's over any of our heads. Thatcher131 01:11, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Inconclusive I can't comment on the IPs because of the privacy policy. There is no recent data regarding MyWikiBiz, and that leaves nothing left to check. The Uninvited Co., Inc. 19:38, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

- Code letter: B / F.
MyWikiBiz is also User:Thekohser; recent comments indicate that he is also using JossBuckle Swami. MyWikiBiz was banned by Jimbo for "selling" Wikipedia articles. http://www.mywikibiz.com/ordernow.html shows he is still doing this. If this user is using a static IP I strongly suggest it should be hard blocked. Guy (Help!) 09:41, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
Clerk note: MyWikiBiz is too old to check. Cheers, ✎ Peter M Dodge ( Talk to Me • Neutrality Project ) 07:01, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Likely for JossBuckle Swami. No connection for 207. No information for TheKohser or MyWikiBiz. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 17:58, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
