[edit] Alcohol consumption
- Ring of Fire (game), a drinking game played by a group of people consisting of a pack of playing cards laid out in the shape of a circle (hence the name 'ring' of fire) on a table. Players have to drink accordingly to rules of the particular card that they overturn on their go. Game rules involve certain cards that allow the player to choose who drinks and add rules as the game progresses. There are many variations of this game, all based around the consumption of alcohol. Drinking games are generally considered a pastime of immature young men, and alleging participation is considered a put-down, as in the film "Beautiful Girls" where Matt Dillon's character Tommy 'Birdman' Rowland says "I'll tell you what. Drink your shot, go back to your boys, play quarters, (another drinking game) whatever you frat boys do and I'll get out of your hair."
