Rubtsovsk

Rubtsovsk (Russian: Рубцо́вск) is a city in Altai Krai, Russia, located on the Aley River (Ob's tributary) some 281 km southwest of Barnaul, at Population: 163,063 (2002 Census); 167,000 (1975); 111,000 (1959); 38,000 (1939). It is twinned with Grants Pass, Oregon. The city is served by Rubtsovsk Airport.
The late Raisa Gorbachev, wife of former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, was born in Rubtsovsk.
