Sabrina Colie

Sabrina Diana Colie (b. November 4, 1980 in Mandeville, Jamaica) is a Jamaican actress and director.

[edit] Early life and career
Colie's only sibling, Ramón Colie is 4 years her junior, and a student of finance at Northern Caribbean University. Her mother, Juliet McDaniel Colie is a highly respected Jamaican dramatist of Afro-Scottish descent. Her father, Norman Colie is of Indian descent and a Mechanical Engineer who studied at Glamorgan Polytechnic in Cardiff, Wales.
Colie's theatrical career spans over 20 years. She has won innumerable awards for drama and oratory, and is a founding member of her mother's theatre company Ayaedeh!

Colie completed her elementary education at Mt. St. Joseph Preparatory and high school and sixth form at Manchester High, Mandeville where she was valedictorian. She attended the Jamaica School of Drama (Edna Manley College) for one year before matriculating to Colgate University, from which she graduated in '05 with a double concentration in Theatre and French. In 2006, she was accepted into CalArts' M.F.A - Film Directing program but deferred because of lack of financing.
