Hello everyone!
I joined Wikipedia on November 20, 2005, after about a year of reading and various minor edits. I am a student from Wisconsin whose interests include mathematics, physics, fantasy and science fiction novels (especially Tolkien), the American Civil War and ancient Egypt, just to name a few.

[edit] Guess What!?
A page I created was linked to from the Main Page on April 24!!
Okay, okay... it's not that big of a deal, since all it was was a sentence in the in the Featured Article (S. A. Andrée's Arctic balloon expedition of 1897) paragraph: As the Arctic winter closed in on them in October, the group ended up exhausted on the deserted Kvitøya in Svalbard and died there, not to be found until 33 years later.
But still... until something better happens, I think it's pretty cool!
