Scouting in Greater London North East

Greater London North East Scout County is a Scout County of the Scout Association in the United Kingdom, to the northeast of London and covers the boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest . The current County Commissioner is Dean Milton, who is stepping down on the 20th June 2007.[1]

The County is divided into eleven districts:

[edit] Centenary Events
The county will be sending forty-five Scouts to the 21st World Scout Jamboree. Thirty-six will act as a whole contingent the remaining nine will be part of another contingent with Guides from Cambridge and a Scout troop from Montserrat. Other county activities will include a centenary camp in May, a party in June and an activities day in July.

Other more regular events have included the Showstoppers Gang Show, the Kilmur Trophy scavenger hunt, Endurance, county canoe race, five a side football competitions and county quiz and chess competitions.
