Somaya Reece is a model, actress, photographer,[2] and musician. She was named the number 3 hottest Latina in music behind Shakira and Christina Aguilera in the August 2006 issue of Maxim en Español and dubbed a "triple threat" by Latino Entertainment TV[citation needed].
Reece has appeared on Entourage, Girlfriends, Miss Cast Away, Ride or Die, The Scorpion King, Slammed, and American Psycho.[3] She's better known for her MySpace presence where she has over 500,000 friends, which her MySpace page claims is more than any other Latina.[4] In addition, her song "Mira Mi Pum Pum" has achieved close to 3 million plays in the past 4 months on Imeem.com.[5] Somaya is currently in the studio with 4 Time Billboard #1 songwriter/producers Eddie Galan and Drew Lane of Trilogy Productions. Somaya Reece has graced the covers of over 45 international magazines[citation needed] and appeared in over 35 national commercials and campaigns including Pepsi and Sprint[citation needed] and just appeared on March 28, 2007 on the Dr. Phil show, to discuss "what lengths will some people go for celebrity".[7]
