Songs from Instant Star Three is the soundtrack for the third season of Instant Star. All of the songs on the CD were originally sung by Alexz Johnson, but when she was signed to Capitol Records, other people recorded them. The reason for this was to lessen confusion with Alexz's upcoming solo album, which has now been delayed because of Capitol Records being bought out. Rumours are that Zoie Palmer (Patsy) will be featured on a song. On the show itself, all songs will be sung by Alexz. It will be released onto the digital music store iTunes before the physical release date, according to Stephen Stohn the executive producer on the official Instant Star website.
Alexz Johnson did not have any involvment in writing these tracks. This is the second time this happened. Alexz did not write for the second season soundtrack either. Both brought on by her solo album.
