South Wolds Comprehensive School

South Wolds Comprehensive School is a secondary school located on Church Drive in Keyworth, Nottingham. It teaches students ages 11-18, and is non-denominational. It was opened in 1967, and has an enrollment of about a thousand students. South Wolds Comprehensive School received the Career Mark award on July 13, 2004.
The school uniform consists of a white collared shirt, a navy blue sweatshirt, and navy blue or black trousers or a skirt. Since original publication of this article a new uniform has been introduced, it is a Royal Blue blazer, a tie and long sleeve shirts, there is also a optional v-neck jumper that has been made available, the schools new unform has been introduced to years 7 and 8, and will all newcomers to the school will also have to wear the new unform, eventually the whole school form years 7-11 will have to wear the blazer, though there is talk of a seperate uniform for the year 11.
The school is a specialist languege college, and, due to large grants from the government, has refurbished its entire languege department, offering French, German, Spanish and, for more gifted students, there is also Japanese, with links to a school in Nagano, Japan. Further improvments due to the specialist college is a new ICT languege suite.
South Wolds Comprehensive School's partner school is Daiichi Senior High School.
