Southern Azerbaijan National Awakening Movement

The Southern Azerbaijan National Awakening Movement (SANAM) (Azerbaijani: Güney Azerbaycan Milli Oyanış Herekatı) (GAMOH) is a Baku-based[1] nationalist political group that advocates the separation of Iranian Azerbaijan from Iran and claims to represent the interests of Iran's estimated 12 to 23.5 million Azerbaijani minority. It was founded in 1995 by Mahmudali Chehregani.
