Sprite Zero

Sprite Zero is a clear, lemon-lime-flavored zero calorie beverage produced by the Coca-Cola Company. This sugar-free drink originally began production as "Sugar Free Sprite" in 1974, then renamed to the name "Diet Sprite" in 1983. In other countries, it is known as "Sprite Light". In September 2004, it was rereleased with a modified recipe and renamed "Diet Sprite Zero" in Canada and the United States. In the summer of 2006, with the debut of the new packaging in the United States, "diet" was dropped from the name in that country. "Sprite Light" has been rebranded as "Sprite Zero" in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
As artificial sweeteners, in its North American formulation, one 355-ml can of Sprite Zero contains 75 mg of aspartame and 50 mg of acesulfame potassium.
