Squawk Box Europe is a television business news program on CNBC Europe, aired from 7-10am CET (6-9am GMT) each weekday.
This program is presented by Geoff Cutmore alongside contributors Louisa Bojesen, Guy Johnson and Stephen Sedgwick. In addition, live reports are provided by Stéphane Pedrazzi (Paris), Anna Martin (LSE), Roland Klaus (Frankfurt), Dan Scott (Zurich) and Claudia Pensotti (Milan). A guest host also appears on the programme each day (during the second and third hour, like its US and Asia counterparts). It covers the opening of the European markets at 8:00 a.m. GMT.
Prior to the adoption of the current on-air look in September 2004, the programme was known as CNBC Europe Squawk Box. Prior to May 2003, the programme had run for only two hours, between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.. It gained an hour from Today's Business however.
"Squawk Box Europe" airs in the United States on CNBC World at the respective time, 1:00 a.m. - 4:00 a.m., ET.
The host of "Squawk Box Europe", Geoff Cutmore, also has a blog on CNBC.com, called "Morning Thoughts".
