Stephanie Cheng

Stephanie Cheng (Traditional Chinese: 鄭融; Simplified Chinese: 郑融; pinyin: Zhèng Róng), born October 10, 1984, is a female cantopop singer in Hong Kong introduced by Go East Music (consolidated with Universal Music in 2003).
She was born in Hong Kong and studied at Heep Yunn College and the Australian International School. After her graduation she began modelling jobs until she was invited to be a singer.
Her first album, "Grown Up", featuring the hit songs "Lifelong Learning" (終生學習) and "Treat as an adult" (成人對待) which got her public attention. Her lifelong learning led to many fans.
In September 2004, Stephanie Cheng released her second album "Step by Step". With "Lost Character" and "Red Flower Club" (紅花會) were hit.
Then in 2005 she released her third album "Beat Beat", with the songs "Been Loving YOu For Long"(愛得耐) and "Not Convenient"(不便) were also popular in those days.
In 2005 she was the subject of a kidnap threat.
In November 2006, she released her fourth ablum "Honey". Featuring in the album is the hit song "Traffic Lights" (紅綠燈), which reached #1 on the RTHK (Radio Television Hong Kong) chart on 21.10.2006 and top 3 on the other pop music chart in Hong Kong. Not only Traffic Lights was a song that you can hear everywhere on the streets, another track on the CD Honey was also very hot before, it was called "Honey" and it also reached 1st on the Jade Gold Music.
